Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always drawn to sound—whether it was the raw energy of rock and metal or the rhythm and storytelling of hip-hop. I picked up a guitar at a young age, teaching myself how to play by ear, and from there, my love for creating music took off. What started as a childhood obsession became my lifelong pursuit.
My journey hasn’t been a straight path. I’ve had highs and lows—times when music was my everything and times when life pulled me in different directions. I worked blue- and white-collar jobs, from bartending to real estate to underground utility construction, searching for stability but always finding my way back to music. No matter where I was, music remained my constant, my passion, and eventually, my purpose.
Over the last twenty years, I’ve immersed myself in every aspect of the industry—playing in bands, producing, songwriting, marketing, and securing placements. What started as a passion project turned into Steven Legacy Music and later the Legacy Format Group. My goal isn’t just to make music; it’s to help other artists and producers do the same, turning their creativity into a sustainable career.
I know how overwhelming it can be to navigate the industry alone. That’s why I built my platform—to provide real guidance, industry knowledge, and the tools needed to succeed. Whether it’s through beats, coaching, or hands-on strategies, I’m here to help you avoid the setbacks I faced and find your own path to success. Joe isn’t just my business partner—he’s my best friend, my son’s godfather, and the rock I’ve leaned on more times than I can count. While I dream up the wild ideas, Joe is the architect that makes them reality. With 20+ years of experience as a retired IT Chief, he brings the structure, the strategy, and the precision that allows Legacy Formant Group to function at the highest level.
We’ve built this company from the ground up with grit, trust, and an unstoppable work ethic. Every challenge we’ve faced has only reinforced our commitment to this vision.
